Dr. Anthony Bailey has been in practice in Bedford since 1979. His collegiate years were spent at the University of Richmond with his graduate work done at the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry. This was followed by an externship at Children's Rehab Hospital at the University of Virginia and ongoing hours of Continuing Dental Education throughout the country. Dr. Bailey enjoys the full spectrum of dental care from pediatric dentistry to geriatric dental reconstruction. He has three children who have completed or are currently completing their higher education and spends as much time as possible on their farm with his wife, Kathy.
Located within the office of Dr. Anthony Bailey is the practice of
Dr. David Polk. Dr. Polk’s practice is limited to Endodontics. This
allows our patients and patients referred from other Roanoke and
Lynchburg area dentists, who require root canal therapy, to do so in the
comfort of our office.
Dr. Polk attended Randolph-Macon College for his undergraduate studies
and graduated in 1992 with a B.S. in Chemistry. He then attended dental
school at the University of Maryland and graduated in 1996. Upon
completion of dental school, Dr. Polk completed a General Practice
Residency at the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania. Dr. Polk currently lives in Forest with his wife Julie, and their two children.
Dr. Philip S. Walerko attended University of Notre Dame for his undergraduate studies then graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in May, 1984. He joined the U.S. Navy Dental Corps in September, 1984. Dr. Walerko was assigned to various duty stations and his last few years he was Director at The Basic School at Quantico and then Branch Director at DBC Earle Naval Weapons Station, Colts Neck, New Jersey. At that time he, his wife Erin, and their three children Stacey, Meagan and Philip Jr. moved to Bedford Virginia; where he now practices dentistry in the office of Dr. Anthony Bailey.
Dr. Rudy Wolf, a 2010 graduate from the well-respected MCV/VCU dental school in Richmond joined our practice in June 2010. He served as Class President for 3 years and excelled in all aspects of his dental curriculum. Originally from San Diego, California, Dr. Wolf came to Virginia to attend MCV/VCU dental school.
Dr. Wolf adds to our tradition of a family-oriented practice that has been a Bedford favorite since 1979. His unique pediatric training will ensure that your children will have a pleasant dental experience at every visit and will keep their smiles at their brightest. He has received special training in non-metallic fillings that will keep your smile white and looking natural. As a family, he and his wife, Melissa, along with their two young sons, will be a welcome addition to the Bedford community.
